Echo City feature
Echo City are celebrating their 20th anniversary year of creating music on instruments they have invented and built themselves. It all began with a sonic playground built in Bethnal Green, East London, in 1983. The current line-up is Paul Shearsmith, Giles Perring, Rob Mills, Julia Farrington, Guy Evans.
This was recorded at Echo City headquarters and instrument building workshop, Kentish Town, North London
Featured instruments are oxybells, fibrephone, baliphone and water flutes
The first voice heard is Giles Perring, then Guy Evans, then Paul Shearsmith.
