DAT Politics: Go Pets Go (2.55)
This new album release from the Lille, France-based laptop trio was recorded following two years of international touring. The vocalist on this track is Tigerbeat6 artist Nathan Michel.

This is taken from Spring Heel Jack's fourth release on the Thirsty Ear label's Blue Series imprint, which, under the artistic vision of pianist Matthew Shipp, aims to blur boundaries between
jazz, hip-hop and other leftfield genres. This track features Mark Sanders (drums), Wadada Leo Smith (trumpet) and Ashley Wales (samples/electronics). John Edwards (bass) and Evan Parker
(saxes) appear elsewhere on the album.

Homelife are a large collective with a fluid line-up based around founding members Paddy Steer (bass and a whole lot besides) and Tony Burnside (vocals/guitar/etc.), who are based in

Múm: This Nothing Blowing in the Faraway (4.35)
Múm is the multi-instrumental Icelandic trio of Gunnar Örn Tynes, Örvar Thóreyjarson Smárason and Kristin Anna Valtysdóttir, whose sister Gyda has now left the band. This track, like their new
album, was written in a remote lighthouse in the north west of Iceland and recorded at an empty weather station on the country's south west coast.

Recorded in Reykjavik, July 2004, Björk was discussing her new album Medúlla (the title comes from the Latin word for 'marrow'), on which she explores the many qualities of the human voice.

Opto: 04:34 a.m. (4.25)
Opto is Carsten Nicolai from Berlin and Thomas Knak, aka Opiate, from Copenhagen. This collaboration came about when Nicolai found a cassette tape in some woods near Berlin. The tape contained
lo-fi recordings of a guitar interspersed with the forest ambiance. He cleaned up the recordings and sent them to Opiate, who added the beats and ambient sounds taken from a forest near
Copenhagen. The times at which he made his recordings give the tracks their titles.

CABAL is the latest release from Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti, who were formerly half of the Industrial music pioneering group Throbbing Gristle. Cosey Fanni Tutti provides the vocals,
guitar and cornet alongside Chris Carter's instrumental structures.

Smith (Mass/Glass Cage/Powerfield). They rarely meet, never rehearse and never write. When they want to record, they get together and record in one burst then spend months, even years, editing
and processing the results until they are barely recognisable. They take great delight in making challenging listening.
